This introductory course will foster an understanding of visual storytelling through single-camera techniques and editing. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of cinematography, editing, lighting and sound. Additionally, aspects of the creative 'pipeline' of filmmaking will be discussed, including scriptwriting, pre-production, continuity, etc. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of “B-” in FILM 1500. Note: Minimum grade of “B-” in FILM 2500 is required to be eligible to enroll in Level 3 advanced film production courses.
