Description
In this course, students will learn the basic skills to conduct research in an international context. They will learn about different types of survey research and the types of research, questions, methods, and analysis associated with each type. Survey construction will be covered and students will experience creating a survey instrument. In addition, students will experience translation and back-translation of survey instruments. Human subjects and the role of the IRB will be explained and students will complete the online CITI training. Students will learn and experience data collection in both structured and less formal contexts. Students will code and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data. results and dissemination will be discussed.
