Description
Rone Tempest, A Pulitzer Prize-winning former longtime national and foreign correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and former instructor at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley, discusses the precipitous decline of newspaper journalism and the intense effort of online, non-profit news sites, like ProPublica, to fill the gap in civic awareness. In addition to his many years as newspaper journalist in Oklahoma, Michigan, Texas, California, and overseas, Tempest in 2008 cofounded a Wyoming nonprofit and since moving to Salt Lake City in 2017 has served the board of the Utah Investigative Journalism Project.
