Description
This (graduate) course is focused on health education, health promotion, and practice with an emphasis on planning, design, and evaluation of public health communication programs and interventions for populations with shared risks, exposures or behaviors. Health communication theories and principles will be applied to select appropriate communication strategies and used as a guide for critical analysis of public health communication plans and interventions. Students will participate in seminar-style discussions, write reflections on health communication scholarship and develop a comprehensive public health communication product that incorporates health communication theory, principles and the role of culture.
