Description
This course emphasizes workforce strategies to ensure an adequate and qualified nursing workforce. Concepts of recruitment, selection, retention, and separation, in addition to coaching development and succession planning are studied. Supply and demand of nurses and the various roles are studied using data and research. Compensation and salary trends will be reviewed by nurse role. Labor laws to ensure a non-discriminatory, safe, and healthy work environment will be studied. Collective bargaining, unionization and the National Labor Relations Act will be reviewed.
