Description
This course introduces students to the health care industry from a business perspective. Unlike many other industries, health care is characterized by a multitude of challenges such as pervasive market failures, distorted incentives, a fragmented structure, and a diverse array of stakeholders ranging from governments to nonprofit organizations and private firms. Furthermore, health care plays a pivotal role in the United States economy, constituting a substantial 17% of national expenditures as of 2022.
