OSHER 808 - Botanical Printing on Silk

If you feel like you aren't "artistic", then this is the workshop for you. Come join us for an afternoon of botanical printing (eco printing) on silk. What is botanical printing? We use nature to imprint the pattern of real leaves onto silk scarves, applying fresh leaves, mordants, tannin, steam, and sometimes dye. Each class member will create two, one-of-a-kind botanically printed scarves. You will create, wearable art with no art experience needed. While the scarves are steaming, you can try out silk painting by creating a mandala on a 17-inch square, bandanna. So Much FUN!
