Description
This course is an introductory course in to the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). This course reviews the antecedents of modern industrial safety going from ancient origins, through the industrial revolution, and to modern times. The course includes a series of important topics in injury prevention including prevention of fires, falls, accidents, chemical injuries and other workplace problems. The goal is to convey broad principles of Occupational Safety and Health and to enable students to recognize when they and others may be in danger regardless of their industry or profession.
