ECS 6613 - History of Indian Education

This course examines the history of American Indian education and schooling. One of the central goals of the seminar is to examine the contemporary impacts of the policies (and theories), practices, and experience within mission schools, manual labor schools, and boarding schools. The topics that will be covered are settler colonialism, educational policies, resistance, and educational sovereignty.
