Description
In conjunction with NASW’s National Social Work Public Education Campaign and SW 6240 Social Policies and Programs: Advocacy and Analysis for Justice, this course is designed to help students enhance their personal and professional public image and raise awareness of their vital contributions to society through effective advocacy and public relations within the media and political systems. The course will examine effective advocacy and public relations activities for social work students, non-profit organizations, social service agencies and social workers in private practice. Students will apply knowledge and theory to develop a toolkit of highly marketable skills to benefit themselves, their clients and communities.
