Description
Getting tired of your traditional painting, drawing, and photo materials? Let's find a new way of mark-making using the sun! Cyanotype is a photographic process that creates a blue (cyan!) image using a chemical solution and ultraviolet sun rays. Contemporary photographers, printmakers, painters, and all sorts of creators love this method for its deep blue tones. Join a local artist and printmaker to learn how to create a cyanotype print with a special focus on using objects and their shadows. Your instructor will demonstrate the process while you experiment with a variety of materials from household items to fresh flowers. Next, you will learn how to process and develop the image into a final work of art. You will leave with a few uniquely beautiful prints and a new method to use in your art practice.
