COMM 7001 - Seminar: Foundations of Communication I

This is designed to help students become active, informed members of the department community and the larger field of communication by orienting them to graduate study in the department; familiarizing them with departmental foci and faculty; instructing them in the discipline's intellectual, theoretical, and methodological traditions; and fostering socialization into the profession, including in practical terms (conferencing, writing, publishing, and navigating an academic career).
