Description
In connection with OCTH 6120 and OCTH 6160, this course will provide the opportunity to explore occupational intervention protocols and skills used in practice with individuals from birth through adolescence. Students will have the opportunity to integrate and apply knowledge by developing treatment plans and practicing therapeutic interventions with pediatric clients in a clinical or school-based setting using evidence-based practice, as well as through various assignments that provide opportunities for demonstration of clinical reasoning in the pediatric population. Practice will include habilitation, remediation, personal adaptation, as well as environmental adaptation. Students will also have opportunity to explore the OT/OTA role in developing therapeutic interventions.
