PROED 331 - Health Care Reform

This course is designed to explore the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and how it affects health insurance options. We will discuss health reform and how it concerns employees in Utah?s small businesses as well as large employers. In addition, we will review changes that went into effect in 2010 and what is next from now until 2014. The course will cover health insurance in general and health insurance options, the latest on the Utah Health Exchange, health savings accounts and COBRA. We will also discuss what is new for employer based health and wellness programs.
