Description
The "terminal" practice degree in social work is still the LCSW; however, PhD level social workers are not only individual, family, and community practitioners, but also scholars, teachers, and supervisors who create, implement, and evaluate programs and practice strategies. This course explores the knowledge, skills, and values in advanced practice and will help students develop expertise in a specialty area of their choosing. With a multidisciplinary perspective and a seminar style, this course will include visiting speakers, and welcomes students from other disciplines.
