PRTL 267 - NR-Trail Design, Construction & Maintenance

Students will finish this course with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of trail building and maintenance skills, including: safety; tools; trail survey and design; trail construction specifications; surface water control; and special trail structures. Students will also be able to demonstrate an understanding of fundamental camping skills, hiking skills, outdoor cooking, travel techniques, Leave No Trace skills, and associated safety skills. Outcomes through field training, discussions, demonstrations, and activities.
