In the August calm before the September storm, join Higher Ground for a creative writing class guaranteed to be a boon to students looking to enhance their writing skills for the upcoming school year and get a head start on their college essay. Learn specific strategies to get over the hump of starting a writing assignment and to write more confidently and creatively. Look closely at poetry, spoken word, and fiction, and use this insight to gain ground in your college applications. All students, regardless of their writing level, ability and confidence are welcome to enroll in the workshop. Advanced writers will be accounted for and pushed to succeed in ways appropriate for their needs, with customized reading assignments and writing prompts. * Masters program applicants welcome.
