LAW 7011 - Mediation Clinic

The Mediation Clinic will enable students to acquire the skills of mediators through study, mock exercises, observation and actual practice in supervised settings. Students must have completed the Skills Cornerstone course in which communication skills of interviewing, counseling and negotiating are taught. All students will thus be familiar with basic negotiation theory, with reflective techniques and problems-solving approaches to negotiation. Mediation Clinic students will acquire the basic skills of a neutral mediator and will be able to be certified in the state of Utah as mediators.
