Description
Due to limitations in HTML for layout, more and more major websites are utilizing CSS to develop fast-loading, extremely powerful web applications that can be deployed for a variety of output devices (screen, print, Palm, etc.). In this class, the focus will be on layout techniques, understanding how floats work with positioning, how to create the elusive two and three-columned layouts, how to style your navigation links, how to style table elements, and how to create a style sheet for printing. The web is a powerful medium that has long been presented in very simplistic ways. CSS is the way to gain control over layout on the Internet similar to that found in print media.
