Description
Yoga at Osher is tailored to the needs of our members. The Salt Lake City Joy of Yoga class (section 001) will explore the joy of yoga including how to work with body, mind, and spirit to address various health issues. We will focus on the yoga (or 'union') of the breath, the ground and the spine, along with some of Tai Chi/Chi Gong's exercises, acupoints, and meridians. The course will include an introduction to the history and philosophy of yoga as well as gentle but powerful physical activity. The Bountiful Gentle Yoga class (section 005) will focus on learning the basics of Yoga using blocks, straps, the wall, and even a chair if needed. Learn breathing techniques and stress relief, too! Special needs such as joint issues, fibromyalgia, MS, or other possible reasons for wanting to participate in a gentle yoga class can be accommodated. All are welcome! Both classes are suitable for all abilities, and for new and returning students. Content will vary according to student needs.
