Description
Have you dreamed of seeing your photos in an exhibit? In this class, you will: At least one of each class members? images will hang in a student exhibit at Lamb's Cafe this December. To ready for this event and for your own future show, you'll receive instruction and feedback on how to gather and choose a coherent body of work. We'll also cover how to make slides of your work for submission or burn your images onto a CD; how to mat and frame your photos; and how and where to apply for your own exhibit at Salt Lake City venues. (If you wish, you may make an actual application to a gallery of your choice.) Framing and matting costs for each exhibited picture should be under $15; we will make images gallery ready in class. Please bring a group of 6 photos you would like others to see to our first meeting. Barbara taught portfolio preparation for the U's Graduate School of Architecture for many years, and photography for more than 30 years. She has curated a number of student shows and juried many additional exhibits.
