Description
This class is designed to promote understanding of nutrition and health issues by improving reasoning and judgment skills. An open forum of expression and discussion allow students the opportunity to better consider nutritional decisions from multiple perspectives. The principle of physically connected healthy eating is explored as it relates to nutrient metabolism. Discussion topics include the importance of issues such as weight maintenance, physical activity, and mindful eating. This course includes individual consultation with the instructor, personal dietary assessment, and physical activity evaluation. Individual goals are encouraged.
