Description
Due to limitations in HTML for layout, more and more major websites are utilizing CSS to develop fast-loading, extremely powerful web applications that can be deployed for a variety of output devices (screen, print, Palm, etc.). In this class, the focus will be on out-and-out layout techniques, understanding how floats work with positioning, how to utilize list items as button elements, and how to create the elusive two and three-columned layouts. The web is a powerful medium that has long been presented in very simplistic ways. CSS is the way to gain control over layout on the Internet similar to that found in print media.
