LLART 165 - Advanced Darkroom Workshop

Comfortable around the darkroom? Push your boundaries as we explore both advanced darkroom techniques and alternative printing processes. We will bleach and tone fiber prints, using both sepia and selenium toners; create large-format negatives for contact printing in the darkroom using Ortho Film; and use large-format negatives to create both cyanotype and Vandyke contact prints. Prerequisite: Basic darkroom experience, including ability to develop black-and-white negatives and photographic prints. Zuzanna received a BFA in photography from Pratt Institute in New York City. Currently a member of the U's MFA program, she is the recipient of a Graduate Research Fellowship and teaches design and photography. Zuzanna shows her work both nationally and internationally.
