ELI 670 - Listening with Video

In this high-intermediate course, students will improve listening skills through viewing and discussion of American films. Readings and discussions are held on the cultural context, characters, and themes found in the videos. Students will practice listening for the main idea and detailed information as well as making inferences and participating in academic discussions. Oral and written assignments based on the readings and videos will help students gain confidence in listening to American English.
