Description
Writers can't always sit down and write the story in their heads as soon as it starts to emerge. And not every writer works the same way. In this hands-on course, we'll experiment with six forms of the writer's notebook, as a safe space for both inspiration and exploration. We'll create and work in the dream diary, the nature journal, the project sketchbook, the recipe box, the guided journal, and the writer's scrapbook. Finding your best working style will be an important part of the course. We'll also draw on the notebooks of writers such as Virginia Woolf, Marina Tsvetaeva, and William Stafford.
