LLLAN 394 - Beginning Arabic

Arabic speakers are in high demand in today's world, and even a working knowledge of this language and be a key to cultural understanding and meaningful employment. This class will introduce the Arabic alphabet and trace the Egyptian pictograph origins that it shares with other world alphabets. We will study the basic construction of Arabic and elementary phrases; you will gain basic skills in writing and reading and be able to say simple phrases.
