Description
PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be easily embedded into XHTML. In this non-programming course you will learn how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 to organize, optimize, and layout documents that integrate PHP to create dynamic web pages that query, insert, edit and delete information from a MySQL database over the Internet. Topics include installing Apache/PHP/MySQL, publishing data to the web, relational database design principles, content submission and formatting, extending Dreamweaver, creating a basic content-management system, complicated site template construction, local vs. remote organizational techniques, XHTML uses, and XHTML vs. Cascading Style Sheets.
