FP MD 6759 - Occupational Health and Safety Field Trips

Course provides an opportunity for students to become familiar with a variety of industries, manufacturing processes, observed and potential occupational hazards, occupational safety and health programs, organizational structures, and management philosophies regarding safety and health. Students participate in on-site visits to a broad sampling of manufacturing environments. Post-visit reviews include discussion of both industry specific and general workplace safety and health concerns with an emphasis on occupational safety and health standards.
