Description
Express yourself in the playful context of theater and performance in this eight-week course. Each class will begin with voice and movement warm-up exercises, then move to theater "games" that focus on freeing the imagination in an atmosphere of trust and freedom. By the end of the course, each participant will have performed a monologue and a two-person scene. (Texts for choosing monologues and scenes will be provided.) Students may also create one-minute monologues to use in auditions. For beginners as well as more experienced adults. Suggested reading: An Actor Behaves, by Tom Markus.
