PRTL 140 - Natural Resources Learning: Bike Touring and Camping

Mountain bike the length of Utah's most unusual state park. The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail State Park is 26 miles long and about 100 feet wide running from Park City to Echo Reservoir. Enjoy the scenery and the easy-paced ride to Echo Reservoir. A support vehicle will carry our camping gear. We will be transported to nearby Rock Cliff Recreation Site at Jordanelle State Park to spend the night. The next day our group will tour the nature center and the wetlands along the Provo River. Later in the morning we will be transported back to the Rail Trail at Star Pointe for a short ride back to Park City. The history of the Rail Trail and ""leave no trace"" camping will be the emphasis of our campfire discussions.
