Description
Combine your love of drawing or painting with your curiosity about the world around you in this innovative and thought-provoking class. Using the medium and style of your choice - a series of paintings, comic/graphic novel, graphite or charcoal drawings, etc - you will document the lives of people whose story interests you. It could be a politician, stock broker, cancer patient, ballet dancer, homeless person, soldier - anyone whose story stimulates you. The first three weeks will be spent refining your concept, research, sketches, and presentation. We'll then focus on the execution of your visual essay. Please bring an assortment of 2B-6B pencils, a kneaded or gum eraser, and a sketchbook to the first class.
