HEDLD 501 - Governance in the Utah System of Higher Education

Organization and Governance Systems of Higher Education. Governance in Utah's public higher education system has its share of complexities. This course, part of the certificate series in higher education leadership offered by the Intermountain Academy for Leadership in Higher Education, will provide learners with an historical perspective, models by which to understand governance, and case studies of actual events that have evolved within the Utah System of Higher Education and impacted its governance. Learners can expect to understand the complexities of higher education governance through readings, dialog, problem solving, and scenario development.
