CVEEN 7570 - Advanced Pavement Analysis

This course presents a mechanistic analysis of pavement structures and its application to advanced mechanistic-empirical pavement design procedures. Multilayered elastic and visco-elastic methods will be used to analyze asphalt pavements. Concrete slabs will be analyzed to compute stresses in rigid pavements. These mechanistic pavement analysis methods are applied to design pavement structures. Nondestructive structural evaluation methods of pavements, such as deflection, will be discussed. These methods will be applied to design pavement rehabilitation, such as overlays.
