Interested in influencing public policy? If so, it is important to understand the legislative process, the roles of evidence, argument and persuasion, and nuances of power politics. Learn how to build a strong legislative strategy that includes evidence gathering, developing a targeted message, building coalitions, evaluating norms, and activating grassroots support. It is a highly interactive course wherein current policy issues will provide the basis for discussion. Participants will leave with a template for effectively influencing the public policy process.
