LLHG 520 - Trees and Shrubs: Selection and Planting

Before you make an expensive investment on trees and shrubs, learn which ones will both please your sense of aesthetics and prosper in your garden. We'll focus on trees and shrubs that grow well in Salt Lake's climate and detail their need for sun/shade as well as their water and soil requirements. Plant charactersitics such as height and spread, flowering time, fruit, and winter interest will be covered. Walks in Red Butte Garden will show examples of many attractive choices.
