ESL 82 - Speech/Debate

This low-advanced course is designed for students to increase confidence in speaking English through oral presentations. Students will express themselves using complex vocabulary, support opinions, hypothesizing and paraphrasing. Listening and pronunciation skills will be emphasized and library and internet research skills will be taught and used in preparation for argumentation and team debates. Students will evaluate speeches and debates as well as present them.
