LLART 68 - Beginning Drawing

Understand what makes an image move across a page, appear three-dimensional, and how you can do it. We'll cover gauging proportion, defining outline and contour lines, understanding light and shadow, and more. Group/individual exercises will increase your awareness of how an artist sees. Please bring the following to the first class: one 2H, H, HB, and 3B pencil; one stump, one B-grade graphite stick, a kneaded eraser; and an 18x24 drawing pad and board (with clips).
