NURS 6811 - Clinical Systems Analysis Lab

The course focuses on clinical systems analysis for the development of health information systems that support clinical practice in complex health care settings. The organizational context of complex health care settings and informatics roles will be examined as they relate to clinical systems analysis. Methods for clinical systems analysis and requirements determination will be emphasized. The course project will be a request for proposal (RFP) based on the clinical information requirements of a local health care setting. Clinical laboratory sessions will be used for field-based clinical systems analysis activities and development of a request for proposal (RFP) based on identified clinical information requirements.
