MSE 5035 - Electron Microscopy Techniques

Introduction to scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Course covers electron sources, lenses, and image formation and interpretation, including secondary and backscattered electron, bright and dark field, and high resolution images. Course also covers electron diffraction and analytical techniques such as X-ray microanalysis and electron energy loss spectroscopy.
