YEART 203 - Film Making: The Art of Visual Storytelling

Roll camera . . . . . and action! Do you think you have what it takes to make it on the big screen? Come experience every step of the movie making process, from story development in pre-production to post production with digital editing equipment. Students will discover life in front of and behind the camera, acting and directing. The comprehensive process of filmmaking will be exposed, offering participants new technical, communication, organizational, and computer skills. With a new "critical eye," young filmmakers will combine visual images with sound bytes and musical soundtracks, to produce a short film to be enjoyed on the living room VCR or to be submitted to a local or national children's film festival.
