SO WK 5875 - Clinical Applications of Play with Children

For the child, play is serious, purposeful, and acts as a tool for learning about the world. Play is essential for healthy development mentally, physically, and socially, and serves as language for a child; a practicing of life in which he/she can work through confusion, anxieties, and conflicts. This course includes theory, technique, and issues related to group and individual psychotherapeutic play with children. Couse lectures and case presentations are used.
