LAW 7971 - Directed Research

Students pursue in depth a subject tailored to the student's professional and intellectual interests. It is appropriate to explore a particular aspect of a subject regularly offered as a course in greater depth than course coverage would ordinarily permit. It is also appropriate to pursue a subject which is not available in a regularly offered course. Independent study should not be used as a substitute for regularly offered course in which the student has not enrolled, nor can it be taken in the same semester as a seminar or capstone.
