MSE 3410 - Introduction to Polymers

Classification of commercial polymers, polymer synthesis and characterization, mechanical properties and viscoelasticity, polymer processing operations. Introduction to polymer selection and design, management of polymers in the environments. Students will obtain an awareness, appreciation, and working understanding of the broad field of polymer science.
