Description
Meets with GEOGR 6290. Graduate students should take GEOGR 6290 and will be held to higher standards and/or more work. Examines a variety of Quaternary geomorphic and stratigraphic records, or natural archives, including sequences of marine, lacustrine, eolian, alluvial, and glacial deposits, that are yielding increasingly detailed reconstructions of earth system history. Preparation of case studies based on recent literature, participation in field and laboratory projects, and extensive classroom discussion.
