Description
Advanced Practice I is a required second-year course. It introduces students to theories, models, and interventions used in advanced clinical practice, and referred to in our School as the Four Forces of psychology. Assessment at this level of direct practice becomes more comprehensive using a combined ecosystems (outer forces)/constructivist-developmental (inner forces), bio/psycho/social/spiritual paradigm. Application to direct work with both individuals and groups is the focus of experiential components of the course.
