PRT 1410 - Natural Resources Learning, Snow-Based: Snowshoe Building

Students will construct their own snowshoes using an old design with new materials. The class will include a day tour in the Wasatch Range of Utah using the snowshoes. Students will learn the role snowshoes had in opening up the Great Basin and Utah. Also includes study of recreation management issues associated with snowshoeing.
