Description
This course serves as an introduction to health law for non-lawyers, aimed at health care professionals. It will cover crucial aspects of the U.S. healthcare legal framework, including major federal statutes affecting health care (such as Medicare, Medicaid, the ACA, EMTALA, ADA, HIPAA, and GINA). Additionally, the course will address regulatory and case law related to intellectual property, research, medical malpractice, non-discrimination, and the duty to treat. No previous legal coursework is required.
