Description
This course examines the experiences of people with autism spectrum disorder in each major life stage. Drawing on local, multidisciplinary and inter-professional expertise, students will be presented with a variety of perspectives, and offer a balanced and supportive overview of autism issues, the impact on family and community, and contemporary issues related to disability, advocacy, and policy. Graduate students will be required to (1) upload a five-minute presentation that is an overview of their final paper. This presentation should include preliminary key findings and other pertinent information from their comparative analysis. (2) post along with their presentation one thought-provoking discussion question related to their presentation and (3) watch and respond to all the other presentations including each thought-provoking discussion question.
