NURS 6722 - Professional Roles in Nursing Education

The purpose of this course is to explore the role of the nurse as an educator within the context of advanced nursing practice and nursing’s core values. The course highlights the importance of leadership traits and the process of self development as a leader in the field of nursing education. The social, political, economic, and regulatory forces that shape and inform nursing education will be analyzed through the lens of equity, diversity, and inclusion. Strategies for promoting positive educational environments will be discussed.
